Relay is expected to become the new favorite of the market

Solid State Relays: A viable alternative to electromechanical relays. Solid-state relays can be a viable alternative to electromechanical relays by reducing cost and improving packaging while enhancing functionality and performance. According to information provided by the Investment Development Corporation (VDC), solid state relays (SSRs) account for more than 10% of the global relay market. Market research firm predicts that this share may increase substantially as the price gap between electromechanical relays and solid state relays narrows. Although electromechanical relays still dominate, SSR is fast becoming the first choice for many applications, especially in communications and microprocessor control applications. Due to its small size and silent motion, SSR is widely used in home appliances and industrial applications. The load current that is very common in home appliances is 0.1A, but only a few SSRs are suitable for this application. Therefore, Japanese manufacturers have been developing SSRs with larger load currents. The growth in applications in the communications sector has spurred manufacturers to develop smaller solid-state relays that operate faster and with higher power. Japan's Fujitsu Component (FujitsuComponent) sold the SN series of ultra-thin relays to the market in four varieties: AC input, AC output, DC input and DC output, all of which are 5mm × 20mm × 17mm. This product is pin-out compatible, allowing users to easily replace traditional electromechanical relays with solid state relays. China's relay manufacturers are also developing SSRs that are compatible with conventional electromechanical relays from the lead end to the lead end. It is predicted that SSR may become the mainstream due to the long working life and the non-contact structure that can reduce the risk of static sparking. Global market: will maintain an average annual growth rate of 2.8% Investment Development Corporation believes that the global relay market's fallback period is about to end. As the global economy enters a recovery period, the United States and Japan are struggling to escape the economic downturn, and the decline in the growth rate of relay consumption will rebound. Market research companies expect that the relay market will resume high growth rates this year. By the end of the year, the global relay consumption is expected to reach 4.92 billion US dollars, and the relay market has bright prospects. The predicted results show that the relay market will grow at an average annual growth rate of 2.8% in the next few years. In 2005, the total relay market will reach 5.45 billion US dollars. China's mainland market: SSR quotes remain stable
